MEA Presents the 2022 Distinguished Environmental Award to Tim Griseto

Bloomington, Minn. (April 5, 2022) — MEA Energy Association (MEA) is honored to announce that the 2022 MEA Distinguished Environmental Award goes to Tim Griseto, sr. environmental coordinator, of ComEd.  MEA will officially present the award to Griseto, today, during the virtual MEA Environmental Leadership Learning Conference

Griseto was nominated for the award by Kareena Wasserman, sr. compliance program manager, of ComEd. “Tim is known within ComEd for being a leader in sustainability performance, understanding the need to reduce environmental impacts through industry innovation,” says Wasserman. “He is dedicated to promoting a sustainable culture at work and home by engaging everyone he meets.”

Griseto has worked on numerous environmental initiatives over his 39-year career. These projects include the development of a soil containment bag, sediment filter bag, spill containment back, and spill tray for large transformers. These products significantly reduce operational environmental impacts and increase safety for ComEd crews.

The MEA Distinguished Environmental Award program is an initiative of the MEA Environmental Committee, whose purpose is to provide resources and educational opportunities to the energy industry on the diverse set of environmental issues related to both the management of environmental liabilities as well as those encountered in the field.
